It’s safe to say the Keane Insurance Group offers the most experienced staff of any agency of its type in the Midwest. Together, we boast more than 130 years of experience in the Insurance industry, primarily in the professional liability field. C. John Keane Jr. - President

John’s responsibilities include providing direction for the overall growth of the agency, as well as developing and servicing clients. He has been in the industry for 19 years, including stints with AON and Blaine-Braswell Associates. John received a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from St. Louis University in 1985. His hobbies include spending time with his wife and eight children and enjoying an active membership in his church. “I enjoy working at the Keane Insurance Group because it allows me the chance to work with my father and brother as well as a great group of professionals. It’s been truly gratifying to start this business as a one-person shop in 1995 and watching it grow to the largest malpractice agency in Missouri.”


Carroll J. Keane Sr. (Cid) - Chairman

Cid’s responsibilities include providing oversight to the agency’s financial activities and “wisdom” to the younger people in the firm. He has been in the industry since 1958. His previous experience includes duties at W.H. Markham & Co. as Assistant Vice President, Lawton Byrne-Bruner as Partner, and Rollins Burdick Hunter as President and Chief Executive Officer. His hobbies include church activities, reading and spending time with his 22 grandchildren. “I like my job at the Keane Insurance Group because I get to spend time with my children and some of the best people I’ve ever encountered in my professional career.”



Lauren Jones - Manager of Client Services

Lauren’s responsibilities include making sure clients have all of the latest information regarding their accounts. She has been in the industry for six years. She graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the Master’s College in Valencia, California. Her hobbies include playing piano, reading, exercising and shopping. “I enjoy the friendly, family atmosphere at the Keane Insurance Group. I work with my friends, and that’s the best environment you could hope for.”



D. Joseph Keane - Professional Liability Consultant

Joe’s responsibilities include garnering new business opportunities, renewing and servicing existing clients. He concentrates on offering clients the most competitive options available in the existing market. He has been in the industry for six years, when he joined the Keane Insurance Group after graduating from St. Louis University. His hobbies include golf and spending time with his wife and two young children. “I enjoy working with my family, my brother John and father Cid. I also enjoy the challenges of working with doctors and business managers to find the most competitive options and the best policy to meet their needs.”


Linda Meier - Client Service Representative

Linda’s responsibilities include distribution of Certificates of Insurance, checking policies and endorsements and other general office duties. She has been in the insurance industry for more than 10 years. Her previous employers include Medical Assurance and Missouri Medical Insurance Company (MOMEDICO). Her hobbies include reading, counted cross-stitch projects, watching Cardinal games and spending time with my family. “I like the Keane Insurance Group because the people are all friendly and helpful.”


Beth Stewart - Client Service Representative

Beth’s responsibilities include distribution of Certificates of Insurance, checking policies and endorsements and other general office duties. She has been in the industry for over three years. She studied nutrition in college. Her hobbies include boating and spending time with her family. “I enjoy the Keane Insurance Group because of the wonderful employers and employees. It’s a fun place to work.”



Mark Steere - Professional Liability Consultant

Mark’s responsibilities include developing new clients and providing personal service to existing customers. He has been in the industry for nearly 10 years, serving with the Keane Insurance Group and Blaine-Braswell Associates. His hobbies include golf and spending time with his wife and children. “I like the Keane Insurance Group because it is a family business that is extremely generous and allows me an unlimited opportunity to be both personally and financially successful.”



Susan Tenney - Professional Liability Consultant

Her responsibilities include marketing, sales and service. She has been in the industry since graduating from high school in 1978. She began at a service level in life insurance and then moved into brokerage for investments. Her previous experience includes time with Willis, where she served as Vice President in charge of the BJC Medical Malpractice Program. Her hobbies include spending time with her family as they enjoying boating and skiing. They also like to travel, which leads to her newest interest – Photography. Both of her daughters are high school cheerleaders, which absorbs her time year-round. “I like having the chance to succeed at my pace, it has given me a new outlook on my career. I have found an environment that lends itself to growth at all levels of achievement. The sky is the limit, and we are all given the chance to fly!”



Debbie West - Account Executive

Debbie’s responsibilities include servicing and renewing client policies and helping coordinate new business sales. She has been in the industry for 17 years. Her previous employers include Medical Assurance where she served as Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Daniel & Henry, where she was the Assistant Manager of the Personal Lines Department. She earned her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1995. Her hobbies include boating, fishing, camping and outdoor activities. “My previous experience was working internally for the company. I enjoy working as a broker because we have access to numerous companies, both standard and non-standard which enables us to help more physicians find the coverage that best meets their needs. The Keane Insurance Group is a great place to work because of the great people and atmosphere.”



Susan Starck - Claims Service Representative

As Claims Service Representative, Susan Starck serves as an effective link between clients and their insurance carriers. Susan worked formerly with the Medical Protective Company, where she served as a client service representative. As a 13-year veteran of the professional liability field, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the Keane Insurance Group. She has five children, ranging in ages 31 to 11, and one granddaughter. She likes to spend time with her family and bowl in her free time.



J. Monte Shields - Professional Liability Consultant

Monte’s responsibilities include producing new business and providing service to existing clients. He works hard to make sure his clients are getting the best products available in the market at the most competitive rates. After graduating from Central Missouri State University, his experience in the insurance industry began at Liberty Mutual in the early ‘90s and then Blaine-Braswell Associates. He also has a background in education and other service oriented industries. His hobbies include spending time with his wife and children, involvement in his church, and outdoor activities. “What I enjoy most about working at The Keane Insurance Group is the family atmosphere.”
 



Tina Lucas - Client Service Representative

Tina provides administrative assistance to several Producers at the Keane Group. Her background includes 3 years working for the Department of Health and Human Services and 13 years with the Department of the Army and the Department of Defense. What Tina likes most about the Keane Group is the pleasant atmosphere and the people. “Everyone is always willing to help without criticizing or jumping to conclusions.”





Brian W. Dames - Director of Business Development

Brian responsibilities include working with the company’s producers to develop sales plans that ensure complete coverage of Keane’s available markets. He is a 1984 graduate of Texas Christian University and comes to Keane with 19 years of Sales and Sales Management experience. Prior to joining Keane, he spent seven years in Phoenix, Arizona, where he acted as a sales manager for distributor/rep company selling equipment and materials used in the manufacturing of semiconductors. Brian and his wife, Dana, have three children, {Caroline, Olivia and Jake} and enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities, including swimming, biking and camping. “I like the reputation that The Keane Insurance Group has built as a successful, professional, ethical and well managed business”.




Jane Hamilton - Executive Assistant

Jane’s responsibilities include assisting John and the Client Service representatives with a wide variety of tasks such as creating proposals, distributing Certificates of Insurance and checking polices and endorsements. Before joining the Keane Group, Jane worked for Schreiber, Yonley and Associates Environmental Consulting and Safety Kleen Environmental Services. Jane and her husband John have 6 children and are very active with their church. “It is a blessing to wake up every morning and feel happy to go to work.”




Laurie Diamond - Client Service Representative

Laurie's responsibilities include assisting John and the Client Service Representatives with a wide variety of tasks such as creating proposals, distributing Certificates of Insurance and checking polices and endorsements. She is a 2002 graduate of Southeast Missouri State where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications: Public Relations. Laurie enjoys spending time with her husband Tom fishing in Montana and watching her 8-year-old step-daughter compete with the boys on her soccer team. “The people I work with are wonderful. Although many of the people working here actually ARE family, everyone is treated like family.”




Kris Perkins - Professional Liability Consultant

Kris' responsibilities include producing new business and providing service to existing clients. Before
joining the Keane Group Kris was a district sales manager for Solideal Tire. He enjoys playing golf, being active in his church, and spending time with his wife Kelly and daughter Mackenzie. "The importance of family here is very impressive, along with their proven ability to be very successful in a crisis ridden industry while maintaining un-equaled ethical standards.


Pam Gettimeier - Account Executive

Pam's responsibilities include managing a book of business and, sharing responsibilities with Deb West in handling John Keane's clients. Before joining the Keane Group Pam was an employee of The Daniel & Henry Co. for 22 years. She is married with one daughter and an 8 year old grandson and she likes to spend her free time gardening, reading, and writing poetry and short stories. "The staff at the Keane Group is so very kind."




Zach Sinclair - Professional Liability Consultant

Zach's responsibilities include producing new business and providing service to existing clients. Zach is a Southwest Missouri State Graduate who has worked for Northwest Mutual and Liberty Mutual. He is a big St. Louis sports fan who is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. "The family atmosphere is one aspect I noticed at the Keane Insurance Group almost immediately. We also have some of the most knowledgeable people in the field on staff. I think one of the most exciting parts of this career is being on the cutting edge of medical malpractice insurance and bringing new ideas to doctors."


Julie Brouwer - Special projects co-ordinator

Julies responsibilities are directed towards assisting the producers in developing and maintaining current data on physicians and organizing the sales territories.
Julie balances her work schedule with her new role as a mother.

 

 



Robert S. Koons Jr. - Illinois Marketing Coordinator

Bob coordinates all of the Keane Groups marketing efforts in Illinois. He has 40 years of sales and marketing experience in the textile industry. Most of Bob's activities away from the office focus on his church and being a grandparent. "A Family atmosphere is an important ingredient at The Keane Insurance Group, making it a joy to be a part of the team."



Karynda Duncan - Administrative Support

Karynda has been with the Keane Group since July of 2004 and is responsible for directing traffic at the busy Keane Insurance Group as well as answering the phones and general office work. "This company has a high level of integrity. They treat me like family and everyone here has a keen interest in our clients; it shows through the enthusiasm of service provided."

 



Jeff Hebenstreit - Professional Liability Consultant

Before joining the Keane Group in June of 2004 Jeff was a V.P. with Saint Louis Management Group, Inc. Now with the Keane Group Jeff is responsible for producing new business and providing service to existing clients. Jeff has 3 sons and has been Married for 14 years to his college sweetheart Nancy. "I love the genuinely postive spirit and professionalism that runs throughout the Keane Group and the significant, positive impact that our efforts make for the clients we serve."



Theresa Bono - Client Service Assistant

After graduating from Truman State University in 2003 Theresa spent a year in Denver Colorado with the Loretto Volunteer Program and joined the Keane Group in June of 2004. Theresa's responsiblities include assisting the Client Service Representatives with a wide variety of tasks such as creating proposals, distributing Certificates of Insurance and checking polices and endorsements. "Everyone is friendly at the Keane Group and it is a great atmosphere to work in."



Tammy Bristoe - Manager of Finance and Human Resources

Tammy joined the Keane Group in August of 2004 bringing 16 years of finance experience with her. Tammy spent 9 years with Focus St. Louis as their Director of Finance and 7 years as an accountant with Mid-America Transplant Services. Tammy enjoys fundraising for several charitable organizations and spending time with her husband and two sons. "The Keane Groups is a team-oriented, family friendly environment."



Katherine Barkley - Account Executive

Katherine has worked for the Keane Group since September 2004 as an Account Executive for the Southern Illinois region. Before joining the Keane Group Katherine worked as an Account Manager for Diederich Insurance Agency. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two sons. "There is a strong foundation of moral and Christian ethics present throughout the work day. I've never felt so at home and valued by an employer."



Natalie Kovac - Client Service Assistant

Natalie graduated from the University of Columbia in December 2003 and joined the Keane Group in November 2004. As a Client Service Assistant Natalie is responsible for checking customer policies, making certificates of insurance, and creating proposals. "The people at the Keane Group are patient, kind, and caring. It's a great place to work!"

 



Todd Herrman - Professional Liability Consultant

Todd Joined the Keane Group in June of 2004 and is currently working out of our Kansas City office. Before joining the Keane Group Todd spent four and a half years in the pharmaceutical industry and is now responsible for servicing current Keane clients and producing new business. Todd is married with two children and enjoys backpacking, kayaking and jogging in his spare time. "What I like most about the Keane Group is that business is conducted with the highest degree of honesty and integrity and the strong emphasis on quality customer service."




Carey Keane

Carey's responsibilities include being almost everyone's personal secretary, and generally the "Hey-you" of the office. "If there is ever a tedious or particularly difficult job that anyone has to do, the cry goes round the office, 'Let Carey do it!' and he generally does it." His main occupation is filing, which he does more than he would like. He enjoys messing around on his Dad's computer when there is a lull in the workload, and anything involving baseball.
