Support Malpractice Tort Reform in Missouri

Meet at the State Capitol, Jefferson City, MO for the White Coat Rally!
Tuesday, February 24, 2015 — 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Missouri’s cap on non-economic damages in medical malpractice lawsuits was declared unconstitutional in 2012 by the Supreme Court. Since that decision there have been attempts by several groups and legislators to reinstate the limit in the hopes of avoiding a healthcare crisis in our state.

In support of legislation enacting medical malpractice tort reform, physicians in Missouri are gathering at the capitol building in Jefferson City on February 24th for a chance to join together for this important issue. Attendees will be addressed by legislators who are promoting reforms. Lunch is provided as well as time to observe the Session and visit with legislators in their offices.

Lawmakers need to know that Missouri’s healthcare providers care about medical malpractice tort reform. Physician groups along with Show-Me Tort Reform are encouraging physicians and others concerned to attend this rally. Tort reform can have a significant impact on access to care for all Missourians.
