We are pleased to have three new brokers join our team this year. Recently we hired Tom McNeill, Ben Wise and Kate Sappington as brokers specializing in medical professional liability insurance and disability insurance for physicians. Tom McNeill is responsible for new business and existing clients, working from our Kansas City office, Wise will be responsible for new business growth in the Southeast region as well as New York, working from Austin, TX, and Sappington will focus on the Kansas City area as well as multiple states in the Midwest. All three have previous successful sales experience, which will help them get off to a quick start.
McNeill comes to the Keane Group after serving as an independent broker and COO of the MSMA Insurance Agency for 10 years, where he built a book of business from the ground up, growing the business from $1,000,000 in annual written premium up to over $12,000,000 annually. He assisted in the launch of the MSMA Insurance Agency and was responsible for the agency budget, managing the sales force, and servicing a book of business.
Ben joins Keane with more than eight years’ experience in the medical professional liability sector. After graduating from the University of Texas Ben worked for different carriers in Austin, gaining valuable experience in underwriting, management, and sales. Ben is licensed in Property and Casualty as well as Life and Health insurance, and has a passion for helping physicians to ensure their interests are well protected.
Sappington graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing. Through her previous sales experience Sappington learned that she wanted a career in sales with potential for achieving her professional goals and building long-term relationships with her clients. Her ambition, creativity, and desire to see her clients properly secure their assets make her a highly valuable asset to the team. She will be focused on developing new business in Kansas City and surrounding areas.
